Advertiser
I have learned a lot about advertising over the past few years. I've also been blessed to have some great experiences in the advertising/marketing world.
In April 2013, I completed an internship with a Orchard Chiropractic, an office in Rexburg, Idaho. I led the marketing and advertising effort there from January to April at the start of 2013. I had the chance to do things such as video production, advertisement design, and social media promotion. It was an enjoyable experience and I am grateful for the opportunity afforded me by Dr. Orchard.
I also completed an advertising for Skeeter's, a hot dog restaurant in Rexburg. For my Comm 230 class, we were put into groups with the assignment to help this new restaurant get its feet off the ground. I was the team leader and Account Director. It was a lot of fun! You can check out a PDF of our advertising booklet we put together for them. This PDF is located below.
I hope to someday work in advertising. I love sports as well, so if I could use my skills in advertising in the sports industry, that would be my dream.
Communication is such a big part of everyday life. If we cannot communicate effectively with those in our communities and environments, then we are doomed. That is why Communication is such an interesting area of study. There are so many skills to learn and these skills are all applicable to situations we encounter every day.
Communication and sports go hand-in-hand. I hope to someday be able to use the skills I learn in order to help a sporting program, be it a school, a professional team, marketing or promoting a team or league, or even just reporting or writing about sports.
Over the past two years I have been able to acquire skills in writing, ad concepts, design, and even video production. I have been very blessed to have great teachers who have helped me along the way.
I invite you to take a look at some of my work below.

While at Orchard Chiropractic, I helped in managing Dr. Orchard's Facebook page. Under my short time, his page went from 37 "likes" to 55, and activity increased dramatically. I created a series of informative Q&A webisodes, in which Dr. Orchard gave information on what he does and how he can benefit customers.
